A layout of my 2nd daughter.

Hi everyone. I'm so happy today because it's school holidays!!!
Ok, today I'm going to share a layout that I made this week :)

Close up.

I don't remember the name of this PP, except there were 4 different brand of PP. The background, the cut-out birds & branches (I used to remember this collection but now I forgot the name!), behind picture, the heart shaped (maybe from Fancy Pants) & heart shaped cut-out (from another collection of Fancy Pants) & hexagon pp (from latest Prima - Divine Collection).

The quote is a rub-on from my old collection. I don't remember the name too!! Lol! I used some washi tape & mulberry flowers & pins from Maya Road. I don't know what is the suitable title for it as I found this layout is already pretty as it is. Hehehe..

Thanks for looking. :)

Buried Treasure 2013 (by Seth Apter)

Hello everyone~ Good morning! Today is Wednesday & this will be a quick post from me (I hope! Lol!). As I told you last time that I want to be a part of the Buried Treasure Event 2013 by Seth Apter, today I'm going to share you two of my favourite posts. This is my first time to participate this kind of event.

1st one is a book binding. This book is a dowry book that I made for my youngest sister back in 2009. This book will be presented to the groom side with lists of things that the bride side want. Actually, it was a new trend during that time to use book! Before, the groom representative just read it on a piece of paper & gave it to the bride representative. But nowadays, I see people use book for this purpose. I think the reason for this is to make it more meaningful & easier to find it? As if a piece of paper tend to get lost rather than a book, right?? Lol!

If you want to read my previous post about this book click here.

2nd one is about my handmade tags!! I totally love these handmade tags of mine!! I made these last year for a challenge. More information about these tag, you can read this post.

So what do you think of my book & tags?? I definitely will make more books, it's been a while I didn't make it. Sigh... Those tags, I'm going to make more beautiful ones! Just wish I have plenty of time. Ok I need to go to work!!

Thanks for dropping by ;)

P/s: Don't forget to let me know that you drop by here, so that I can visit your blog too ;)

Bloganniversary, Pinterest, Instagram & Digital Layout from freebies~

Hello everyone~ Happy bloganniversary to me!! Lol! I was still preparing the blog candy!! Unfortunately I misplace those candy & still looking for it! I already put it in an envelop!! I promise I'm going to search it high & low!! Grrrrr!!! Actually my bloganniversary was on 4th June 2013. Nevermind, I'll post about it later within this month for my dear followers to win those awesome candy!! ;)

Ok, here I am sharing a digital layout that I made entirely from freebies!! Except that doily is from a digital collection that I bought.

My 2 Little Angels~

So what do you think?? I scrapped this picture of my 2 little angels (on 1st June 2013, ehem from Instagram, my addiction!) using digital freebies that I found from Pinterest & some that I found myself by surfing the net. If you want those digital freebies for your digital layouts or even for printing, you can follow me on my Pinterest, another new addiction of mine!! You can find these on Digital SB Freebies, & you can find other digital images for printing on Print, Print, Print Them!! ;)

I tell you I'm addicted to Pinterest now!!! Lol!! There are so many inspirations & so many beautiful things to look at :D

Lastly, not least, I'm going to participate an event called 'Buried Treasure' hosted by a this talented man, Seth Apter (The Altered Page). For more information, you can drop by on his blog or just click 'Buried Treasure'. I hope you will join the fun too!! :)

Thanks for looking & I hope you all have a nice weekend!

Ed's Sketch, Got Stamp? June 2013 Challenge & Instagram~

Hello. Today I'm going to share a layout that I made for June Ed's Sketch, Got Stamp?

We are required to use any date stamp on our layout.

Here is my take on June sketch.

The pp is from Teresa Collins Sweet Afternoon collection. I used twine from We R Memory Keepers. The antique mirror stickers are from Prima. I used MFT dies for the vines. Put my fabric handmade flower on top of it & push some pins from Maya Road behind that flower. The 'smile' sticker from Pebbles Inc. The photo mat (black with writing on it) was from an old collection of PP, Adorn It, Carolee's Creations. I also put some mulberry flowers & a heart cut-out pp (I think from Fancy Pants). Actually, I accidentally squeezed the Stickle (Icicle) & I kind of love it! Lol! I honestly didn't want to wipe my 'mistake', it's an art~ Lol!

Here is the close up look on  my 'mistake'. I took the picture using Instagram~ Hooray!! :D Dear hubby is so kind as usual he bought a new handphone for me! I love you dearest hubby!! :D (He always buy the handphone for me (whenever my phone has nearing it's end, sadly but true! I used my Sony Xperia since 2010) as I'm not really an avid fan of newest gadget!).

Ok this photo was taken by my niece on my brother's handphone. As you all know my daughter is on the right side with curly hair & the other girl is my newest niece (my younger sister gave birth a month before me).

Before I'm gone, here is the latest picture of my 2 beautiful girls, of course using Instagram ;)

Thanks for looking~ I hope you all have a nice weekend ;)

Airplane For Kids~ (Recycled)

Hello everyone~ How are you? I know it's already late, it's 11.48pm now. Lol! But I have to share this simple tutorial with you all! It will be my first time for sharing a tutorial for kids craft, so please bear with me.

This week, our theme is Air Transportation. I think my tutorial for these airplane is really useful for Preschool kids. :)

The items that you need:
-pencil
-scissor
-craft knife
-colour pencil box (the empty one)
-a small piece of manila card
-ice cream stick
-kabob stick (satay stick).

1st step:
Cut out (I draw) the body on the plain side of the colouring box. The reason I used this box is, it's sturdy, cheap & readily available!! As a teacher, we are trying to make use everything. In short, RECYCLE! As you may be aware, that we do need to prepare those colouring pencils for the kids, so please don't throw those empty boxes yet. It come handy when you need it, like I do ;)

2nd step:
Cut out the corner of the colouring box flap into half. As you can see as below.

3rd step:
Cut a slit at the end of the airplane.

4th step:
Put the small piece of paper (the flap that you cut) as the airplane tail on the slit.
Do you notice that I draw a small line on the middle of the airplane body? Yes, that will be where you'll put the ice cream stick. Just remember to cut both side with craft knife.

5th step:
Actually I forgot to show you the circle cut out from manila card. Anyway you can cut the circle randomly or like me, I use a small cellotape as a small circle stencil. You fold the circle into half, then open it, fold the other side into half again. Do this step until you can see the crease. The reason for this creases is that the kids will find it easier to colour the fan. To attach the fan, you'll need to make a small hole on the center of the circle (make sure the kids colour it first). Then put the kabob stick (cut the stick into 3-4 pieces), to ensure the fan will not fall off, I put some tape in front of it (the stick), just wind the tape around it until the desired thickness (you can see it on the later picture). Then you can stick it under the plane with cellotape.

This is how it look like when I assemble it.

This is the finish product.

I asked them to collage their airplanes :)

Their final airplanes.

My kids' happy faces with their airplanes :)

I hope this tutorial help you alot (especially preschool/art teachers).

Thanks for looking :)

InSha-Allah, I'll be back for more tutorial on kids craft :)

FSFS May Challenge - Handmade Fabric Flowers

Hello everyone!! Here I am going to share with you my latest layout for FSFS' May 2013 Challenge - Handmade Fabric Flowers. For this month challenge, we have a Guest DT, Lean De Ruiter She chose this month theme. I'm grateful that Lean agreed to be our Guest DT of this month. Go to her blog to see more of her wonderful creation. :)

Before I share with you my latest layout, I want to show you my handmade flowers. I made this flowers from organza. I cut it out freehand the gold organza & die cut the maroon organza. Do you want me to do the tutorial? It's very simple though.

This is my take on May 2013-Handmade Fabric Flower Challenge.

I used Graphic45 new collection!! The Secret Garden! They are sooooo beautiful!! I never made this kind of layout. I'm not so good in layering, so this one is kind of my first time to layer it. I chose 3 flowers & attached it near the picture. Amazingly, I enjoyed the process cutting all those intricate details!! Yup the frame of the layouts, the flowers & cages are from a piece of pp. Aren't they beautiful?? I simply love this collection. Actually I'm intimidated by these details like Webster's Pages, but I try to overcome it. Here is the result!! Simply loving it! The title plate is a diecut using Tim Holtz, I sticked the alphas stickers from Fancy Pants Designs, I stamped & cut the cute pink butterfly using Maya Road & put pearls, blings & a small mulberry flower on it.

A close up look of the handmade flowers. This is my first time using the technique to create the fabric flowers.

So what do you think?

Don't forget to join our challenge as there'll be a Gift Voucher BND$20 from Jadyn's Arts N Craft for the winner (local & international winner). Also don't forget to try for our DT Call that I keep open until we have enough members :)

Thanks for looking. Have a nice weekend. :)

Ed's Sketch, Got Stamp? May 2013 Challenge & End of DTC.

Hi everyone~ How are you? I have been missing about 2 weeks! Lol!
Yes, since I'm back to work, I'm busy adjusting it back! Talking about a long hiatus from work! Oh maternity leave, I'm going to miss you!! Hahaha..

While being busy go back to school, I forgot to share you this layout that I made for Ed's Sketch, Got Stamp? For May Sketch, we are required to use the butterfly stamps!!! Yes!!

This I my take,
Adorable Babies.

I rotated the sketch. I stamp the butterflies & cut it out & put some stickles on them. This is a very simple layout from me. The PP that I used were from Bo Bunny. I put some mulberry flowers & tie it with a ribbon. I put some washi tape behind the journal & a little bit of bling over here & there.

Oh these beautiful babies are mine & my younger sister daughter. The one on the left is mine, the right baby is my niece :) They are only one month apart. My niece was born on 24th December 2012, while my daughter was born on 22nd January 2013.

I absolutely love this photo of them!! :) They are soooooo adorable!! Aren't them??

One more thing, I'm so sad that Digital Tuesday Challenge was finally close after it's last challenge :( You can read about the closing of the blog challenge here. I've been with this team for over a year. They are a great team! I'm going to miss them..especially Lora, the owner of the blog challenge.

So now, I'm 'hunting' for some DT Call!! Lol! So if you are happened to have a DT Call or know any blog challenge that is having a DT Call, please let me know. I want to try my luck :)

Digital Tuesday Challenge #208 - Distressing

I used this sponsored image (by Sans Designs).

Isn't it lovely? I used stencil from Prima & dabbed some ink on the card. I coloured & printed the image. Distress the edges, inked it & stick it on to the card. Then put the washi tape & put a distress flower (die cut using Tim Holtz die).  Voila! I still don't know how to make those beautiful layering cards, so I always made a simple & cute card (well to my eyes! Lol!).

Hope to see your take soon. Just don't forget as usual include at least one digital element in your creation (be it an image, the printed pattern paper or even a sentiment) & follow this week theme, Distressing~

Thanks for looking!

P/s: Oh noooo!!! I'll be working this Thursday!!! My maternity leaves....is nearing it's end!!! Lol! So back to my busy life as a teacher. ;)

Digital Tuesday Challenge #207 - Birthdays

Hello~ For Digital Tuesday Challenge #207 - Birthdays, we got sponsored by  My Grafico
Tell you the truth, I don't know what to do with the digital image of this boy (we were provided this boy on plane) with the birthdays theme. But, I'm always up to challenge! Lol!

Here it is.

So what do you think??? Actually this is a postcard not card. Lol! Do you see the background stamp? It's from Tim Holtz! I used Kaiser Kraft Tags stamp that I bought last month or early this month? I also use the gift brad which I purchased 2-3 years ago (or was it last year?). Finally, I used some of my new stuffs! Talking about being a hoarder... Oh yes, I am a hoarder of scrapbook stash! I'm not ashamed of it, oh yeah! Hahaha..

Hope to see your take & don't forget as usual to include at least a digital element in your creation with the birthday theme.

Thanks for looking~

P/s: I'm going back to work next Thursday! Oh no...I'm going to miss this maternity leave! :( Can I find a job that I enjoy & with the same payment (more also better!) as my current job? Sigh...

New Prima Collections Feista!

Hi everyone~ Here I am to share my 3 layouts with you!
I managed to finish it in 2 days!! 3 layouts in 2 days!! Lol!
Do you know why? Because it's the new stuffs from Prima Marketing!!!! And, and my maternity leaves will be over in less than 2 weeks that I decided to scrap as much as I can ;)

Mardhiyah

Do you recognise this from which collection?
That's right! It's the Divine Collection!!! They are so gorgeous!! I bought the A4 pad! Pheww...I'm going to play with it again. All are from Prima except those blings, & metal photo corner. Oh did you notice one of the stuff is a not so old collection of Prima? Yes, the Antique Mirror :) I put it on the left corner & try to put flowers on top of it & voila! I also punched the butterflies using Martha Stewart punches. I printed out the title, cut it & paste it. So this layout can be considered hybrid. Well a little bit hybrid. Lol! So what do you think?

Family

Ok, this is from the Lifetime Collection. Oh yes, my favourite! With the grungy look! It's easier to make a distress layout without distressing it. :p I also bought the matching Resist Canvas & Sunrise Sunset Vintage Trinkets (flowers). On top of the metal flowers I put a pearl. Can you spot the metal flowers? :)
I love my family!!! I love this layout too ;)

Being Myself 2013

Can you guess what collections on this layout? Hehehehe..I'm so deeply in love with these new Prima!!
It's Lyrics Collection. I mixed it with the Sunrise Sunset - Flowers & Vintage Trinkets (Flowers & The Roman Clock). The mannequin (using an old Webster's Pages Collection) is a die cut using Tim Holtz Dies Collection. The tags are from Lifetime Collection. The title I printed it out. So this layout can be considered as a hybrid too. This is my new look... I wear glasses now!! I'm officially a short sighted since late last year.

That's all for today. Coincidentally, I just found out that Prima was having a DT Call. I was wondering should I try it out? Hmmm... Well the chance of being chosen will be...none! Lol!! I still need to improve but then should I try the DT Call? I'm undecided.... :p

Thanks for looking ;)

P/s: I'm too lazy to stamp or die cut the title! Yes, it's one of those days! Lol!

FSFS April Challenge - Colour Palette With A Twist & DTC #206 - Spring Time

Hello. How are you? I hope everyone is fine :)

Today (or rather tonight) I'm going to post 2 cards that I made for my DT.

First card is for FSFS (From Scrappers For Scrappers).
For April Challenge, it's a Colour Palette With A Twist hosted by Ka N (Klavu).
You can make a layout, a card or a project.

I decided to make a card. Coincidentally, the colour palette is based on the hydrangea flowers! Which I love, love, love it!! Just for this challenge, I bought this Hydrangea Sizzix Die cut!! Lol! As you can see I wrote down the sentiment I Love You & purposely left it blank after that, because this card will be on it's way to my swap partner as the theme is Mother's Day :) Remember, that I posted yesterday about the Tag Swap? Yes, this is the same FB group :)

Secondly, I made a card for Digital Tuesday Challenge #206 - Spring Time.

The image was sponsor by our new sponsor, The Paper Nest Dolls.
The images are so cute!! So what do you think of my card? Cute eh? Lol! :D
As usual, you must include at least a digital element in your creation with the theme Spring Time.
Hope to see your take soon :)

P/s: FSFS' DT Call is still ongoing, international & local are welcome to apply :)
