Another Sketches In Thyme DT Call

Hi again :) It seems I'm active this week! Lol! Anyway, I was looking at Sketches in Thyme & they are having a Design Team Call. So I thought, I would love to try it again for the 2nd time (1st time was back in 2011). I know all the other scrappers layouts are beautiful believe me :) So I'm not giving any high hope, just joining it for the sake of fun! :D But then it would be good if I get chosen to be one of the team! Lol!

Here is the sketch.

Here is my take. I made a hybrid layout.

I used Webster's Pages PP:
The background paper & red cut-out paper: Country Estate.
The top corner of the photo & title backing: Ladies & Gents.
The title CHEESE (letters die-cut using TimHoltz Dies): Hollywood Vogue.
The picture & it's mat I printed out using the latest collection: Everyday Poetry (Digital).
The sentiment is SANDS (from Bugaboo) which I printed out on Cocoa Paisley Damask Paper (My Grafico).

I distressed the edges using Making Memories Distresser & inked it using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad (Worn Lipstick).

Thanks for looking. :)

JUSG #132 - Sponging A Layer Technique

Hello everyone! *wave*
Here I am again. Today I made a card for Just Us Girls - Technique Challenge #132.
'Sponging a layer' technique, which I found it awesome!! I love this technique! Expect to see some more in the future :)

Here is my card.

I made a very simple one.

I die-cut my card & applied the sponging a layer technique inside the card! I tore the edges of the heart (the positive side of the die-cut) & stick it inside & sponged it away! I used TimHoltz Distress Ink Pads (My favourite, I mixed Worn Lipstick & Aged Mahogany). On top of it, I stamped a heart 3 times & decided to leave it as it is. I don't want to colour the image, it's look good already! :D I inked around the heart (the negative one) using Staz-On (Fuchsia Pink).

Put a cute hearts ribbon, a fabric flower & rhinestones! I'm done! I don't want to stamp any sentiment as I found it's already perfect (well for me, lol!). :)

Thanks for looking! Yes, I enjoyed this technique! :D

Digital Tuesday Challenge #156 - Distressed

Hi everyone. Here I am blogging about Digital Tuesday Challenge #156 - Distressed by Lora.

Instead of making a card, I decided to use a canvas this time. It's been a while I didn't touch a canvas! Lol! I'm a bit rusty but then I worked my magic! Lol!

I dabbed the canvas with TimHoltz Distress Ink Pads (I mixed Worn Lipstick & Aged Mohagony). Then I used TimHoltz Crackled Paint (Bronze) on the edges of the canvas but somehow there's no crackling at all!! :( but then no worries! I used my Prima Distressing Tool & distressed it away!! I love how it turned out!

Then I used 2 pieces of Webster's Pages' vellum & cut it out put it here & there. I also cut out the butterflies from the vellum. Lovely right? The image Live Love Laugh is from our sponsor, Bugaboo

If you decided to join the fun, please go here! Don't forget to include at least one digital element in your creation. ;)

FSFS' April 2012 Sketch Challenge & My Foot!!

Hello~ How are you everyone? I'm not so fine. You'll find out later why! :(

First I want to share you the FSFS' April 2012 - Sketch Challenge (by myself).

Here is the sketch:

Here is my take :)

I used 3 pieces of Webster's Pages PP (Winter Tale Collection). I punched the border. Then the other piece I tore 3 pieces. While the last one I just cut out the scallop tag (journal) from the PP (& put it below the clustered flower). I printed out a ticket (from my Winter Tale Digital Collection) & put it above the clustered flower. I also printed the title from the same collection & decided to crop it & made it into some banner! :D

I wind the beaded string on a wire until I got the desired outcome & made 2 pieces of it. I also dabbed the doilies with gold acrylic dabber paint (my favourite, Adirondack Dabber Paint).

The title 'Asyik' (our language) means you're to absorb in something & don't care what's going on around you. In brief, you're in your own world! Lol!

I even wrote the journal in Malay. I will translate as best as I can. "She's so absorb while watching her favourite cartoon. She's also holding a block. Her mummy tried to call her, but she didn't responded which resulting this picture of her 'asyik'!"

Ok this is bad news!! Yesterday, I was going downstairs while holding Sarah in my arms (2 flights of stairs). I was still on the first flight of stairs, then somehow I misstep about 2 steps! In order to keep Sarah safe (from bumping the wall), I sacrificed my feet! This is the result!! Arggghhh!!! I'm stress!! Alhamdulillah, Sarah is OK! Only me...NOT OK!

Boohoo!! :( Luckily it's not broken! I don't want to get plastered! Sigh...

Anyway, thanks for looking & reading my long post :)

P/s: You still have time to apply for the DT Call for FSFS. Local & International can apply. Good luck!

Digital Tuesday Challenge #155 - Birthday & I'm Chic Of the Week JUSG!

Hello~ As usual it's Tuesday Digital Challenge ;)
For today challenge #155, it's about 'BIRTHDAY'! It's so easy!! :D
All you have to do is make anything related to birthday as long as you included at least a digital element in your creation.

I love this cupcake stamp! So I enlarge it & coloured using photoshop (as usual). After that I cut it & stickled the flower & decided to put stickle on the scallop background & also on the cupcake itself! :D

I attached pearl chain instead of ribbon, to make it a birthday tag!

We are sponsored by Fred She Said. I used this cupcake for my birthday tag.

Do you remember my previous post on Zipper challenge by Just Us Girls? I won the challenge! :D I was Chic of the week #130! Wheeeee~~

I just don't believe my card get chosen :) Alhamdulillah~ My first time submitting to JUSG & won it! :)

Thanks for looking.

Hi. It's April means another new layout for Ed's Sketch, Got Stamp? & also it's Tuesday means another card for Digital Tuesday Challenge.

I rotate the sketch to the left & scrapped it away~

I simply used my sentiment stamp, 'adore' (Making Memory Stamp Foam).

There will be a prize for the winner of Ed's Sketch April Challenge! Woohoo!! So what are you waiting for?

The theme itself explain it what to do with your creation ;)
I don't celebrate it but I had fun creating this card :D

I used sponsor image by My Grafico.

Happy Easter to those who celebrate it :)

P/s: I was supposed to post this yesterday, but I was too occupied with my work! Sorry!

JUSG #130 - Zipper!

Hello everyone. I made another card last night & finished it off this morning. I absolutely love the outcome!

Before that, I want to share a short story in the process of making this card.

I was bored because dear hubby was out participating the EarthHour event. So, I took my ink, stamps, embossing powder, embossing heat tool & sat down on the floor (I always sit down on the floor as I don't have a proper place to craft! Lol!). I stamped quietly, while Sarah was watching some cartoon. When I switched on the embossing heat tool, Sarah was going near me squatting & watched what was I doing! Lol! Then I told her not to touch the heat tool & kept saying to her 'It's hot. Don't touch ok?'

She replied while pointing at the heat tool 'Hot? Yes? Hot?' & nodding her head to acknowledge it!

After I had done all the necessary embossing, she took it (the embossed images) one by one & inspected it. While inspecting it, she said every single thing I embossed was 'Pretty!' Lol!~ She's so adorable!!

Ok now move on to my card. I was looking at 'Just US Girls' Challenge #130, it's about using zipper! It's really interesting! So I decided to make one! This was my first time submitting for JUSG :)  My only problem is I don't have zipper that I want! So, I brought along my daughter & my maid to shop at a haberdashery! :D I found what I want!

A close-up.
I cut the zipper & stick it on the lower part of mannequin to make it look like a skirt! :)

Thanks for looking :)
